Sloow Tapes – Reed

Duo recordings by Tara Burke (Fursaxa, Anahita, Tau Emerald) and Grant Acker (Slurp Dogs), smoking one late-period Un/early Fursaxa style. A scorching blend of distorted psychedelia, hypnotic riffing and mellow vocals trapped inside a very trippy atmosphere. Edition of 170 copies with silkscreened fold-out booklet.

Edition of 170 duo recordings from a Philly-area cabal that would reunite Tara Burke of Fursaxa with former Un bandmate Grant Acker. The result is a great Xerox-primitive slice of early 90s private press weirdness with Tara’s gospelised vocal sat deep in the kinda fuzz-clouded zone where weird electric Syd Barrett re-thinks go up against hazy drones and lucid vocal chants in a way that could have been documented by Siltbreeze then or now. Very heavy Un vibe. Excellent. (Volcanic Tongue)

Duo recordings from former Un-bandmates Tara Burke (Fursaxa) and Grant Acker (Slurp Dogs). Hypnotic riffs, stoned lullabies with Tara's vocals buried deep in the fuzz and a bedroom-recorded feel. Silk-screened fold-out booklet. (Boa Melody Bar)

alternatingly folk-oriented/inspired and drone/noise-addled takes from un’s grant acker & tara burke (Mimaroglu Music Sales)

(Venice Beach Communication)
